Africa Day 2024 just became more "Awesome"

Felicia Awe came to Ireland as a 9 year old. As a teenager, she prepared an exotic punch drink for a church charity event. Later, motivated by passion, she embarked on her entrepreneurial journey founding Awesome Creations Limited.

A company dedicated to crafting premium non-alcoholic cocktail experiences for a wide range of events. Her commitment to perfection and a passion for the craft has always set her apart.

Her journey took an extraordinary turn when the world faced the challenges of Covid-19. In the face of adversity, her entrepreneurial spirit shone even brighter. She had a brilliant idea to bottle the fantastic non-alcoholic drinks and to her astonishment, the response was overwhelming. She along with her team began making deliveries to meet the surging demand.

This led to Felicia being selected for the prestigious "Grow with Aldi" program that led to a major breakthrough - her exceptional non-alcoholic drinks were introduced in 150 Aldi stores across Ireland. The milestone gave birth to SomAwe Limited in 2023, a company entirely dedicated to producing and offering bottled non-alcoholic cocktails.

She admits that her journey has not been easy. Securing funding can be challenging especially for immigrants due to difficulties in accessing necessary information. She explored various financial support options and most were and have been supportive. Most importantly, her family and friends have greatly supported her especially through tough times. Felicia adds that entrepreneurship can be tough but her faith keeps her grounded.

She seeks networking opportunities in major platforms and acknowledges it has been made easier as she grew up in Ireland. She says that she is still growing and seeks advice from colleagues and Local Enterprise Office.

Felicia Awe continues to push the boundaries of innovation and excellence. Her participation in the New Frontiers Enterprise Ireland program for 2023 is a testament to her unwavering commitment to growth and success in her business. Her vision for her business is to establish a cocktail manufacturing company in Ireland, creating job opportunities.
