Service Description

Are you an asylum seeker, refugee, under subsidiary protection, or granted leave to remain? Do you live near Leixlip and Celbridge and thinking of starting a business? Down to Basics (DotoBa) empowers immigrant entrepreneurs in Ireland and we're offering a free introductory financial literacy and entrepreneurship training. The 4 sessions which will be held every Wednesday for 3 hours will explain, in clear, practical and simple terms, how business ideas are developed, planned and registered in Ireland, how to use basic accounting and how to sell and market your products and services. We will also cover savings and budgeting (even with a small income) to ensure one doesn't run into financial difficulties. No previous business experience is needed and there is no cost to attend. This is a welcoming space to learn, ask questions and gain confidence in navigating Irish business systems and in dealing with finances and entrepreneurship. Migrant business owners living in Ireland will attend to provide an insight into their experiences of entrepreneurship. This training has been supported by Local Authority Integration Team - Kildare LAIT
