Cinira Fernandes grew up in Guinea Bissau and moved in Ireland for a better life for herself and her children. She has a background in Business, nutrition, culinary arts and leadership and that has greatly influenced her career greatly.
Her decision to start her own catering business was motivated by passion and a lack of business in the food industry catering for the tastes of where she comes from.
She has managed through a lot of hardships like any other businesses and keeps working on the business to to ensure her products are of the highest quality. The Support in terms of capital to start up was quite lengthy however she managed to link in with Local Enterprice Office and Enterprise Ireland. She is now looking to grow and expand her business. She aims to open multiple branches in different cities and expand in terms of human resource and increase in food variety. She also hopes to have her own food brand which could be packaged and sold in the mainstream Irish marketplace to make access to these foods available to a larger clientele.
Networking, she believes is very crucial however she has not been able to identify any platform in Ireland until she was linked with Down to Basics Network (DotoBa). Access to information on business expansion is hard to find especially since she has to run the business full time as well as look after her family.
